Business Intelligence Manager

The Business Intelligence Manager (BIM) serves as Viejas expert on analyzing known customer behavior as well as developing data driven insights for all operating verticals within the enterprise. He / she will utilize these insights to create actionable strategic recommendations to improve player loyalty, acquisition, reinvestment rates and market share. The BIM is responsible for generating insights about the use and effectiveness of various program components, promotions and events, and makes recommendations for improvements to increase loyalty for particular customer segments and VClub tiers. In addition, the BIM will perform ad-hoc research into the effectiveness of partnerships of the program to measure their contribution on program goals (E.g. F&B, Hotel, Retail, etc.).
Analyzes complex data sets and extract key insights using various economic, financial, customer and marketing methodologies.
Synthesizes data, insights, and consumer research to create presentations that make fact-based recommendations.
Works with the Database Manager and Vice President of Casino Marketing to communicate recommended approaches to senior leaders, and anticipate the future needs of our customers.
Conducts timely analysis of all casino marketing events and promotions to provide insight to senior management on effectiveness of performance as it relates to Casino Marketing goals of increased trips and spend per trip.
Prepares daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for executive and management teams.
Performs basic statistical analyses for projects and reports by creating Dashboards, Graphs, Reports, Forecasts and Presentations of project results as routine or ad-hoc reports
Creates customer valuation data models used to accurately predict spend and reinvestment targets.
Identifies business requirements and collaborates with the Information Technology team for continued improvement and execution of BI technology development.
Prepare concept models for events, promotions, and property changes.
Develops analytics capabilities across aligned functional areas.
Reviews findings with and makes recommendations to the Vice President of Casino Marketing, senior leadership and business partners.
Manages new insight demands with currently in-progress projects.
Makes recommendations for improvements to Value Measurement process to ensure business cases are adequately reflected.
Networks externally to seek innovation.
Perform other job related duties as requested.
Required Skills
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Statistics, Finance, or related fields, or equivalent education and experience.
At least 4 years of experience in the relevant subject area expertise (e.g. industry or function) with experience in driving business performance through operational insights and analytics.
Experience with CRM tools.
Experience in writing and executing SQL queries.
Proficient with predictive analytical tools such as SAS or SPSS.
Excellent customer service skills.
Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel.
Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.
Accuracy is a "must", inquisitive mind and being a team player are essential qualities.
Master's Degree in Finance, Business Management, or a related field.
Experience in casino marketing.
Experience with Bally BI, SDS and CMP, and Tableau
Previous experience working in a similar local casino resort setting

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
