Security Manager

The Security Manager is responsible for providing managerial assistance to the Security Director. Performs day-to-day operational management of the department.
Responsible for overall scheduling of personnel to adequately cover the duties and responsibilities of the Security Department.
Oversees and directs the activities of the Security Shift Manager and Supervisors to ensure efficient security operations.
Coordinates security operations for the casino, outlet center and reservation as needed.
Assists the Director with the direction, coordination and evaluation of the Security Department.
Recommends changes in the department, including hiring, promotion, demotion and termination of personnel.
Enforces company policies as they pertain to guests and team members while they are on property.
Ensures that all applicable rules and regulations of the organization and reservation are firmly and fairly enforced.
Reviews shift incident reports to ensure that it is appropriately prepared and that policies and procedures are properly carried out.
Prepares staff reports for management, makes recommendations for improvements, resolves problems, and documents incidents.
Investigates complaints, actual or potential violations of Security team members and recommends discipline and administers approved discipline in accordance with business and departmental policy.
Resolves guest or team member problems and complaints as needed.
Assists the Director with department planning and budget processes.
Performs research and planning to assist in major projects or events.
Attends intradepartmental meetings to coordinate projects and events with other departments as assigned.
Responds to emergency alarms associated with fire, presence of unauthorized persons, and/or critical incidences. Calls the Communication Center, notifies proper authorities, secures and controls all tribal assets, and permits authorized persons to enter property.
Performs First Aid, CPR and AED as needed, if trained.
Practices Viejas Guest Service Standards while performing job duties and responsibilities.
Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned.
Interacts with internal and external guests with a positive attitude and professionalism at all times.
Manages supervisors and shift managers.
Responsible for team performance, assigning job duties, appraising performance, providing constructive feedback and managing disciplining processes.
Must be 21 years of age or older.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, security, or related field preferred.
Possess a valid California Driver's license and maintains a satisfactory driving record required.
5 or more years of related experience.
Management/leadership experience required.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills.
Working knowledge of computer software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously under pressure.
Ability to resolve problems as they arise and handle situations without supervision.
Must have a high degree of common sense.
Must be able to work flexible schedule.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
